ICAR felicitates recipient of Jagjivan Ram Abhinav Kisan Puruskar

ICAR Research Complex based at Jharnapani felicitated Alemla Therie, recipient of Jagjivan Ram Abhinav Kisan Puruskar, 2010 on August 6 at a brief function.
In his welcome address Dr. Bidyut C. Deka, joint director, ICAR Complex, Jhrnapani appreciated Alemla for bringing laurel to Nagaland and Northeast in general.
Dr. P.G. Chengappa, ex-vice-chancellor, UAS, Bangalore and Chairman, QRT Review team congratulated Alemla for her achievement and requested the farmers of the state to follow her footprints to earn their livelihood in a more dignified way.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. C. Rajkhowa, Director, NRC on Mithun, Dr. A.K. Gogoi, Zonal Project Director, Zone-III, Barapani, Shillong besides half a dozen other dignitaries from ICAR head quarter.
Alemla received the Jagjivan Ram Abhinav Kisan Puruskar, 2010 from the Prime Minister of India on July 16 at a function organised by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to celebrate its 83rd Foundation Day at NASC Complex, New Delhi. Alemla received the award for her contribution in the field of farm innovations giving a new dimension to enhance the farm income by utilising the resources available in the doorsteps of Naga United Village in 4th Mile of Dimapur.
