Against the “sluggish” movement of file processing for genuine adhoc teachers’ regularization of 11 districts by the education department, the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Union (ANATU) July 6 has reminded the authority in-charge to immediately complete the process within the stipulated time.
ANATU president, Neizevotuo Nakhro said in a release that the union had earlier set 15 days ultimatum to the state government to intervene and take the right decision at the earliest on this issue, and that the deadline began on July 26 last after ANATU had submitted a memorandum to the commissioner and secretary SE and SCERT through secretary SE as commissioner and secretary was out of station.
ANATU president said despite series of appeals and grievances made by the union on service regulation of genuine adhoc teachers who appeared suitability test in September–October 2010, the authority in-charge could not finaliz the matter till date.
The union said, while it was expecting from the department to award regularization order right after it was issued to its ministerial staff (contemporaries) on November 1, 2010, added no signal has been awarded in favour of genuine teachers. Pointing out that the department was not taking any serous note on their case even after TDATA had served an ultimatum to the department on May 2011, including their appeals and grievances turned down several times by the department, the genuine adhoc teachers of 11 districts demanded to know as to why the authority was giving step-motherly treatment to them.
With regard to this, the union has appealed to the state government to intervene and warned that it would resort to taking its own course of action on the expiry of its 15 days ultimatum. Meanwhile, the union has convened an emergency meeting on August 9 at 10am at Hotel Nagi Paying Guest House, opposite supermarket Dimapur.
