Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) would be starting phase-wise agitation from August 10 in all four districts of Eastern Nagaland viz. Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire and Longleng to show resentment against the recent retention and regularization of both GTs and PTs under SSA Nagaland.
Eastern Naga Students Federation informed that the first phase of agitation would start on August 10 in the form of silent dharna in front of all district education offices (DEO), district inspector of schools (DIS)and district mission authority (DMA,SSA) offices and picket all DEO DIS and DMA on August 11 and 12 in all district headquarters and sub-divisions within ENSF jurisdiction.
Eastern Naga Students Federation said it would also wait for response of the department and state government to meet its demands. However, the federation has exempted district administration, medical, educational institutes, police, para-military, bank and communication from the preview of the agitation.
The federation in a press release issued by general secretary Changsang Soted and vice president Likhumse Sangtam said the decision to hold agitation was taken at the emergency presidential meeting on August 7 at DUDA guest house Kohima.
ENSF has appealed to all Eastern Nagas to extend corporation to all federating units in conducting the directives of the ENSF.
Meanwhile, ENSF has directed all head of departments, in-charges, officers, employees of all departments to be stationed in their respective place of posting.
