In reference to news item published by Sangyuchung Range Union (SRU) regarding the condition of Khudei – Noksen road at Tuensang district, executive engineer, PWD (R&B) central division, Tuensang Nagaland has furnished that the length of Khudei – Noksen was 52 km out of which 17 km, from Tuensang side, falls under PWD (R&B) Tuensang sub division and the remaining under PWD (R&B)Noken sub division.
Sema clarified that no fund was provided for the portion under Tuensang sub division during 2009-10 and 2010-11 and Sangyuchung range under the jurisdiction of Tuensang sub division.
He also stated that work on Khudei – Noken road from 17 to 52 km (under Moken sub division) has been carried out through different contractors against fund allotted during 2009-10 and added that work allotted to contractors against funds provided during 2010-11 was under progress.
Further, Sema stated that the department had cleared landslips earlier through hired machinery but clarified that this year, due to heavy rainfall, a number of landslide had occurred on many locations.
