As part of security arrangement for Independence Day celebration on August 15, Superintendent of Police, Kohima has enforced a new traffic regulation from 0600 hrs. SP also informed that the defaulting vehicles would be towed along and towing charges recovered from the defaulters.
According to the new traffic regulation, only vehicles with car passes namely ‘A’ and ‘B’ would be allowed entry inside the main gate to the Secretariat Plaza; vehicles with a ‘C’ car pass would be allowed to park in the parking on either side of the main gate to the Secretariat complex. Further, the SP informed that no vehicle would be allowed to park by the roadside from 0600 hrs from Classic Island till Telephone Exchange and from Raj Bhavan to New Secretariat.
