ANATU reaffirm its stand on agitation

All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers’ Union (ANATU) has reaffirmed its stand to stage an indefinite peaceful agitation staring from August 18, 9am at the directorate of school education, Kohima.
In a press statement ANATU president Neizevotuo Nakhro said the union decided to go for an agitation as it did not receive any assurance from the department after an ultimatum was served to regularize the service of adhoc teachers. 
The union also requested its members whose names have been recommended for service regularization by the department to reach the directorate of school education on August 18 at 9am. It further informed those members failing to participate in the agitation would be expelled from the union and case of their service regularization would not be taken care by the union.
Meanwhile, the union has appealed to the district administration, general public and NGOs to extend support towards the cause.
