‘Faith in Action’ team leaving for Mumbai today

Team to take part in ‘India’s Got Talent season 3’ quarterfinal round

‘Faith in Action’ from Dimapur, the only participating team from the entire northeastern state has made it to the quarterfinal round in the TV reality show ‘India’s Got Talent season 3’. The team would be leaving Mumbai for Friday to take part in the quarterfinal round.

Out of 200 participants from all over India, only 48 made it to the quarterfinal round after the screening test conducted by a panel of judges and organizers based on their talents. The winner of India’s Got Talent would receive cash award of `50 lakh.
Led by coach Deep Kumar, ‘Faith in Action’ team had also won ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ in 2009.

The team members all aged between 17 to 24 years includes Husheto Zhimomi, Toloho Yeptho, Sanjay Chettri, Bohoto Achumi, Toketo Chishi, Ineusana Singha, Lungshai Phom, Lokivi Aye, Kiniho Khujumi and Abdus Shahid.
The ‘Faith in Action’ team member’s taekwondo suits are adorned with the logo “Jesus Loves You” with a cross icon on the right, ‘Faith in Action’ logo on the left and a mithun logo in the middle.
Interacting with media persons at their training centre  at Dimapur on Thursday, the team said they first participated in the “Mini audition” round at Guwahati on May 12 and were selected for the “Mega audition” at Kolkata from June 21 to 23.

Shooting for the quarterfinal round would start from August 24 to 31.
The ‘Faith in Action’ team at the show will be performing mixed martial arts accompanied by music. 
Meanwhile, the team has appealed to all the people of Nagaland and northeastern states to vote for them as they are representing not only Nagaland but the entire northeastern state in a “big show”. Since the quarterfinal round would be based on SMS voting, the team has urged the people to come forward and vote for them.

Even though the team is bogged down with lack of infrastructure, equipments and finance, they have been continuing with their exercise with sheer determination.
