CWO to stage silent procession Aug 26

To demand the responsible authority to award “exemplary punishment” and deny bail to the accused involved in the alleged rape and murder of late Avinuo of Kirha village July 21, the Chakhroma Women Organization (CWO) today said it would stage a silent procession in Dimapur August 26. In a statement, the CWO president Abeiü Kuotsu said procession would begin at Dhobinala junction at 8 a.m. and proceed to DC office and submit a memorandum.

The CWO has requested all responsible organizations and individuals to reach the venue on time and join the procession to show solidarity for justice. It has also requested members from outstation to make their own arrangement for refreshment.
