Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has welcomed Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) state youth wing, vice president Vanthongo Odyuo to its fold on Friday.
NCP state president, Neiba Ndang, while welcoming Odyuo said he (Odyuo) joined NCP believing in the agendas, philosophy and ideology of the party and assured him the most appropriate and important position in the party.
Talking to media persons at NCP Office in Dimapur, Odyuo said he quit the NPF as he had lost confidence in the party after they purportedly issued an “intimidation letter” to him.
He said he has resigned formally from the primary and active membership of the NPF and joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to work under the leadership of State NCP president Neiba Ndang and assured to work sincerely for the NCP and strengthen the party.
Joint Convener National Legal Cell NCP Povotso Lohe, who was also present at the briefing said with Odyuo joining the NCP, the party was confident that it would be fortified not only in 37 A/C Tiyi but the whole district of Wokha and the state in general. Those present at the meeting were Maithou Krose general secretary (adm), Chini Magh general secretary among others.
