The school of agriculture sciences and rural development (SASRD) has expressed its dismay at the continued deadlock in NU: SETAM, which has resulted in the closure of its sister institute for more than a month.
SU: school of agriculture sciences and rural development president Atou Kharutso and general secretary Rovizelhou Kuotsu in a release said the month long impasse was “a long time, enough for efficient and concerned authorities to bring a solution to the crisis”.
However it went on to add that the ongoing crisis reflected how “inefficient and unconcerned” the authorities were towards the plight of the students’ in Nagaland and Nagaland University in particular SETAM being the first and only engineering institute in Nagaland.
SU: School of agriculture sciences and rural development while conveying its whole hearted support to SETAM also expressed its desire to see its alma mater in the near future as one of the most prestigious and sought after institutes in the country.
SU: SASRD has therefore requested the authority in-charge to “open their eyes and ear and work with all their efficiency” to resolve the crisis in SETAM, thus making Nagaland University “a better and honorable institute”.
