The Council of Nagalim Churches while expressing gratitude for prayer and support, also tendered apologies and sought pardon from public or individuals for excesses committed by the group’s national workers.
In a statement, CNC vice president P.S. Vaison Vemai quoting the Bible (Ezekiel 37:15-28), in the context of God desiring unity among Nagas, urged people to observe Sunday (September 4) as a time of prayer and fasting for the Naga nation. CNC also informed that as per the directives of the collective leadership of the NSCN/GPRN, all steering committee members, council of kilonsers, tatars and secretariat staff have been asked to be present at Hebron council headquarters for fasting and prayer from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Vemai further requested all brigades/battalions/units or regional offices to conduct fasting and prayer at their respective places. Prayer points included: sins of Nagas; Naga Reconciliation and Unity; Indian authorities; collective leadership; Naga public and church leaders and also for an early political solution.
