Searches for the body of a Class XII (science) student of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, who drowned Saturday in a river near Zoological Park, Rangapahar ended after the body was retrieved on Sunday around 4 p.m. According to sources, the body was found caught in a whirlpool by expert swimmers from Dimapur. Funeral service was also conducted the same day.
Meanwhile, principal of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School on behalf of the administration, staff and students expressed condolence to the parents and family members of Talisunep. The principal described late Talisunup as one of the best students of the school who had died in a tragic incident and termed the day as the saddest day in his three-year tenure as principal.
