An alumni meeting of Kohima College Kohima held on August 29 at the college was chaired by coordinator of alumni committee, Abeni Zuchamo. Principal of Kohima College Kohima C Khalong Ao delivered the keynote address, wherein he underlined the need to form an alumni association for assessment and accreditation of the college under National Assessment & Accreditation Council of India (NAAC).
He also briefed the recent academic achievements, installation of CCTV and biometric attendance monitoring system, which is expected to greatly increase the efficiency of both the students and the lecturers.
Rovilatuo Mor, NCS deputy commissioner Wokha and Neiba Newmai, NPS Suptd. of Police (Crime) in their short speeches, reminiscenced their college days that and how it had shaped them and their careers.
T Miachieo, HoD, Economics, Kohima College Kohima recalled the establishment of Kohima college on August 9,1967 through the initiative of Dr. Neilhouzü Kire, Dr. Satuo Sekhose, Vibeilie Solo and Vilalhoulie Belho. Other alumnus also shared their experiences and assured to help the College in all possible ways.
Following the meeting, the alumni association, Kohima College Kohima was formed and elected its office bearers led by Neingulo Krome as president, Neilezo, vice president and Nino Iralu as general secretary.
