A joint meeting of village development boards and the village council chairmen’s of Wozhuro-Ralan block was held on August 29 to redress the road blockade of Wokha-Bokajan Road.
According to President VDB&VCC union M Odyuo, President16th A/c NPF, Pfutsero, W. K. Ritse and secretary P. David landslides was caused due to severe perennial rain blocking the drains.
The communication of the people of Ralan area and district head quarter has been completely cut off due to multiple land slides blocking the side drains and also the way side overgrown jungles have made the road as almost untraceable. The entire length of road in the hill section covering about 91km needed an immediate attention, stated the union. The signatories appealed to authority in-charge to undertake necessary action for removal of landslides and clearing of the side drains and jungles through the entire road in the hill section and to restore connectivity.
