CCF Mokokchung hails ‘Naga Concordant’

Concerned Citizen’s Forum Mokokchung (CCFM), has congratulated the Naga leaders for signing the ‘Naga Concordant’ as well as the Forum For Naga Reconciliation (FNR) for their commitment and efforts in bringing the Naga leaders together.

CCFM Mokokchung convener Tsupong Longchar in a press release stated that for many years, it had been the ardent desire of the Naga people to see all Naga political groups working together for the national interest and added genuine reconciliation and unity in any form should be supported by all.

Concerned Citizen’s Forum Mokokchung also stated that in the history of the Naga national struggle tragically, Nagas experienced factionalism and fratricidal killings for over three decades thus affecting every Naga households and individuals.

 “We have lost many precious lives and good opportunities. We have wavered, faltered and have gained only bitter experience through the designs of our adversaries”, CCFM CCFM said it was time Naga leaders prove to the Nagas and the world that whatever commitment/pledge was made through the ‘Covenant’ and ‘Naga Concordant’ would be carried forward as a genuine national commitment.

Concerned Citizen’s Forum Mokokchung urged all Naga leaders to leave aside differences for the sake of a common goal, and called upon the Nagas, Churches and organization to come forward and extend support to all national leaders and FNR in its endeavor and to strengthen and broaden peace process for lasting peace in the land.
