NSCN/GPRN on Yimchunger-Tikhir issue

September 4, 2011 | by admin

GPRN Saramati region has termed the press statement published on September 1 under the caption ‘supports to YTC’s decision’ by Kiusumew, president PFPD and Musumong president GBIPD as “blank support.”

GPRN Saramati region care taker R. Kiusangthong Makury Tatar in a press release alleged that both PFPD and GBUPD presidents were neither Yimchunger nor Tikhir.

Hence as a third party they have no moral obligation to interfere and be against the other in their tribal issues by supporting one party, stated GPRN Saramati region.
The release also added that both Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) and Yimchunger Tribal Council (YTC) leaders were mandated by their respective people and their leadership cannot be demean by any individual or organisation as they had their own legitimate authority to lead their own people.

R. Kiusangthong Makury “Tatar” on behalf of Saramati region NSCN/GPRN appealed to all organisation associations, unions under its jurisdiction to refrain from issuing statement on the Yimchunger-Tikhir issues so that communalism and tribalism was “nipped in the bud.”
