AR nabs KYKL cadre

Discovering movement of UG cadres in Heikakpokpi of Thoubal district, troops of 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) launched operation in the area and apprehended one KYKL cadre September 8.

According to defence sources, the cadre was identified as No.309 Purnima alias Dayamacha (29) son of Leibak Macha, residing at Waikhong. Five live rounds of AK 47 were recovered from the possession of the cadre. The cadre along with the arms and ammunition was later handed over to Kakching Police Station.
