Dedication service of Endtimes Christian Concern and Care Community (ECCCC) ministry was held at Kuki Christian Church auditorium on September 10. The service was graced by Editor Nagaland Post Geoffrey Yaden as the chief guest.
Yaden in his message said the world today was all about money, power, information, and in this context felt a Christian’s view on such issue was important. He said ministry is not for people who are registered but for every Christian.
He also spoke about the ‘Great Commission’ of Jesus which is not just to preach the Gospel to everyone, but to make disciples so the Gospel can be effectively preached to everyone.
Whether one is a doctor, journalist, engineer etc., Yaden said everybody was obligated to the ‘Great Commission’ of God. Guest of honour administrative officer, New India assurance Co, Ltd. Boypu Chongloy, expressed happiness over the dedication of ECCCC ministry, and lauded Lalchon Chongloy for coming up with idea to run a ministry. He said one must stand firm in times of adversity and expressed hope that God would bless the ministry to take it to a higher level.
Delivering the exaltation, P. Hangshing, Rtd. commissioner excise advised ECCCC ministry team headed by Lalchon to have patience and be sure of how to serve the society. “If you believe in your motto, you should be ready to forgo personal reputation and be ready to sacrifice even one’s life,” added Hangshing.
ECCCC Ministry team with its motto, “Service to people is service to service to God,” is headed by Lalchon Chongloy as president and eight other members Helpao Chongloy as vice president, Paongam Hanghal – general secretary, Hoinu chongloy – treasurer, and Nemboi Khongsai, Boishy Hanghal, Naro Bemben Haokip and Hemkhojang Chongloy as members.
School of Music Sewak hostellers presented special songs at the function attended by well-wishers and Church members. Earlier, Lalchon Chongloy highlighted on the aims and objectives of the ministry. The ministry aims at constructing house for orphans, a rehabilitation centre along with counseling facilities for alcoholics, drug addicts and HIV and AIDS infected and affected people.
The ministry would be undertaking rural development to ensure every village maintain sanitation, interlink connectivity such as road, bridge connection and to ensure pure safe drinking water, to help people who are living with chronic hunger at rural and urban areas, to build a house for the old age or widows and widowers who have no proper children to take care of them, to open a health care center, to visit hospitals-to pray for the doctors, nurses and ill people and to ensure proper education to the children.
The ministry would also be taking up evangelism and set up children ministry and welfare, educational establishment, missionary training, vocational training centre, organise seminars, conferences and help victims in times of natural disaster. Free books of Bible and Bible tract would also be distributed besides imparting non-formal education so that everyone would study the Bible.
