UIDAI adopts multi-registrar approach

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the only body mandated to allot Unique Identification (UID) number has now adopted a multi-registrar approach to enroll residents for UID.

An official bulletin informed that need for a coordinated approach to ensure orderly enrolment was discussed on August 30 at the office Chamber of additional chief secretary & development commissioner, Nagaland.

Chief Secretary Lalthara notified all non-state registrar to share and finalise enrolment plans in consultation with the State Registrar of UID (additional chief secretary and commissioner, Nagaland) and state nodal department, (planning & coordination department) before commencing the enrolment.
