Illegal liquor seized

 In another major haul of illegal liquor, the MVCP of 20th Assam Rifles on October 9 recovered 682 cases of assorted IMFL and beer from a Tata truck bearing registration number NL 02 D-4276 near Piphema village, NH-29.

Superintendent of excise and prohibition, Dimapur, Pitongse Sangtam said, in this connection one Kehousetuo has been arrested and handed over to the Excise department Dimapur along with the seized items and vehicle.
Meanwhile, the contraband items have been deposited in the Excise ‘Malkhana’.
