Orientation and training on disabilities held at Mon

A one-day orientation cum awareness and training on inclusive education of disabled students at secondary stage was organised by the directorate of school education Kohima at Mon on October 11.

The main purpose of the training was briefed by deputy director of school education, Kohima, Dr. Chuba Imchen where he advised principals, headmasters and teachers of the schools under Mon district to maintain proper record of the disabled students enrolled in their respective Schools and to submit the list to the department.

He also said that in order for the project to be successful, local NGOs and welfare department should give full co-operation to the teaching faculty and the department. Dr. Chuba Imchen and District IED Co-Ordinator DMA Mon, Shennyu, were the resource persons of the training. DEO staff, district co-ordinators, principals, headmasters, teacher representatives from all government and private schools, Mon attended the training.
