GPRN/NSCN calls for vigilance

October 20, 2011 | by admin

Claiming that a “firing order” was reportedly issued by higher authority of Khaplang group, following the arrest of its finance secretary, one Aron Kits by GPRN/NSCN urban town command October 15, the GPRN/NSCN Wednesday directed all its town commands to be on guard.

MIP GPRN/NSCN said after the arrest of Aron Kits, one Hokato Vusshe reportedly issued a “firing order” to the “remnant K boys” as per the directive of the higher Khaplang authority.

Stating it was imperative for Naga Army everywhere to be vigilant whether the directive came from Hokato Vusshe or the higher authority of the NSCN(K), the GPRNJ/NSCN  affirmed that in the event of Khaplang’s people resorting to violent methods, its Naga Army would be forced to defend itself.

MIP also alleged that while Naga reconciliation process was honoured and accepted by all sections of Nagas irrespective of “artificial boundaries”, a “handful of people” hiding behind the “name of Khaplang”

continued to issue statements frequently, displaying “incoherent and unstable existence”.
MIP described reconciliation process as “a marriage between Naga conscience and Naga Nationalism” which a “handful of people” have “washed their hands off” as revealed through their press releases, in both local and national dailies in the past few months.

Alleging that a number of “anti-social elements” owing allegiance to Khaplang have been arrested by Naga Army at Dimapur and Kohima on charges of extortion and kidnapping   in recent months, the MIP described them as blind to the reconciliation process and therefore, stood against the Naga people.

MIP however asserted that their “disturbing threats and intimidations” against the Nagas would not be tolerated. MIP said it would be “unwise to preach about peace” to those who have withdrawn from Naga reconciliation process.
