Maintaining that nothing was “more criminal” in the eye of the law when the “keepers of law and order” violated the law deliberately, the NSCN (I-M) Monday condemned the “unruly behaviour” allegedly committed by Major Marathi October 24 at Senapati, wherein ANSAM president was “harassed, insulted and humiliated.”
Asserting that the incident came as big blow to the whole Nagas, the GPRN/MIP in a statement said everything looked “disgusting” when disciplinary code of conduct was not maintained by the forces that has “gained much notoriety than anything else.”
It queried “what is Assam Rifles Authorities upto” when no disciplinary action was placed on such officer who “tarnished” the image of the Assam Rifles? The NSCN (I-M) said “this deceptive silence” would naturally be construed as higher authorities indirectly (or directly) encouraging such display of high handedness to provoke the Nagas.
