Ten-day ‘Gandhi Shilp Bazar’ begins

‘Gandhi Shilp Bazar’, a bazaar of handloom and handicrafts organized by the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) Ltd., was inaugurated by Director of Industries & Commerce, Er. Thekruneituo Kire at Dimapur Club on Monday.

At ‘Gandhi Shilp Bazar’ one would find handicrafts like cane furniture, wooden utensils, handlooms, showpieces, etc., as well as handmade handloom under artistic textiles.

Altogether there are about 150 stalls and as many as participants from Manipur, J&K, U.P, Assam, Manipur, Gujarat, W.B. The participants especially from outside are given D.A according to their daily expenses incurred, by the department (NHHDC) while the stalls allotted to the participants are for free. 

The bazar is also sponsored by the office of the Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
‘Gandhi Shilp Bazar’ would be a ten-day event.
