NSSR support Khole and Kitovi

Northern Sumi Sub Region (NSSR) has expressed its appreciation to the collective leadership of GPRN/NSCN, Gen (Retd) Khole Konyak, Chairman and N. Kitovi Zhimomi, General Secretary.

“Northern Sumi Sub-Region (NSSR) has been functioning since the establishment of UT I decades ago. Till 1998 it was looked after by UT I, in the last part of the same year, Northern Sumi affairs was transferred to Lotha Region and this continued till 2007.

After the initiation of Naga Unification by like minded national workers, Under GPRN/NSCN, Northern Sumi was under Central Supervision beginning from 16th April till 6th April 2011”, added Shevukhu Chishi, Deputy Kilonser and acting chairman of NSSR and went on to add “In 1993, under the able leadership of Ato Kilonser late Dally Mungro, Northern Sumi Sub-Region was genuinely considered but owing technical reasons, the sub-region could not be formally established”.

Chishi also disclosed that during the budget session of the GPRN/NSCN on April 11, the National Tatar Hoho reaffirmed the establishment of the Northern Sumi Sub Region and added that Gen. (Retd) Khole Konyak on September 27, declared the formation of northern Sumi sub-region. The sub-region further prayed for wisdom and long life for the two respected Naga leaders.
