Golden jubilee celebration of Y. Ammer village CYE and students union was held from December 17-19 with parliamentary secretary for IPR & economics & statistics R. Tohanba as the chief guest.
Panel of speakers were H. Hanji, PS to parliamentary secretary IPR and economics & statistics, H. Tokiu, youth secretary YBBAYD, L. Shojila, women secretary YBBAWD and P. Ramtsula, women pastor, YBC Kiphire town.
The chief guest urged the gathering especially the youth that it was a time for jubilation and thanked all founding members for their hardship for which the golden jubilee was being celebrated.
He also remembered late Y. Throngshi leader from Y. Ammer village who had contributed a lot for the Yimchungers and the Nagas as a whole by citing his quality leadership.
He urged students to play an important role in the society by obtaining quality education and maintaining punctuality which was the key to success.
He also requested the youth to abstain from all negative forces and try to learn how to love oneself by avoiding bad company. Others who spoke were Kius Chuba, working president, YTC, Murekiu joint secretary YTC, ADC Shamator Z. Throngshi, president YAA, DEO Tuensang.
