Sensitizing jail inmates on health care

Dimapur Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS (DNP+) conducted one day orientation workshop and sensitization with Jail health care personnel and jail inmates on the December 16, supported by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) Kohima from sub-jail, Dimapur on the theme “Reaching out the un-reached.”

Resource person for the programme were Yanger Aier, MIS Officer, DNP+ who spoke on the topic Basic of HIV and AIDS, myths and misconception, Dr. Lanusungkum, Fellowship Nursing Home who spoke on the topic STI, Condom Education, voluntary testing and universal Precaution. Moa Phom, President of DNP shared on the topic Substance abuse and HIV and Darshim spoke on the Stigma and Discrimination.

The programme was chaired by Penesa, Program Coordinator of DNP+ and vote of thanks was pronounced by Tiala Jamir, Social Worker, DNP+.
 Altogether more than 50 participants attended the programme along with jail health care personnel of sub-jail, Dimapur.
