Houses gutted at Namsang area

Two houses were burnt down within two days at Namsang area on December 23 and 24.
According to a press release issued by Namsang union president M. Akong Phom, a house belonging to C. Buling Phom was gutted at Aboiji village on December 23 at around 9m and another house belonging to A. Tongshauh Phom was gutted on December 25 at 7pm at Kongshong colony of Bura Namsang village.

Namsang union further informed that with no fire services available in the village, the villagers gathered and put off the fire before it spread to other houses.

There were no casualties in both the incidents, however, properties worth lakhs were destroyed.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained till the time of filing of the report, stated Namsang union president.
