Dimapur Truck Drivers Union against holding meeting

With regard to the meeting convened by “some unknown person”, Dimapur Truck Drivers Union (DTDU) has made it clear to the public that no individual had the legal right to convene meeting without the consent of the present DTDU headed by Piketo.

DTDU advisor Viniho Shikhu in a complaint letter addressed to the deputy commissioner, Dimapur has stated Atovi Sumi had no authority to “forge in convening such meeting” without the consent and knowledge of president DTDU.

According to DTDU, a meeting has been organized by Atovi Sema without the consent of DTDU at Purana Bazar parking on January 31, 2012.

The union pointed out that such kind of meeting should be stopped to prevent any “further illegal activities”, and urged Deputy Commissioner to take necessary steps to stop such illegal activities.
