Minister for public health engineering, Dr. Ngangshi K Ao, on February 2 inspected the DoNER- sponsored scheme for providing water supply to 24 villages of Chiephobozou RD Block. While inspecting the scheme, Dr. Ngangshi K Ao appreciated the progress of the ongoing works of the treatment plant and pumping system being executed by the multi builders.
The project consists of pumping treated water from Vithoru water source to Phegie hillock, Zhadima village, and then distributed, by gravity to 24 villages of the RD Block of Chiephobozou. The scheme is targeted for completion by December 2012.
Among others, the minister was accompanied by secretary, PHED, Zhaleo Rio, chief engineer, Mhondamo Ovung, additional chief engineer, K.G. Sumi, department officers.
