Parliamentary secretary for geology and mining, irrigation and flood control, and border affairs Y. Patton Tuesday said “NPF government in Nagaland is here to stay for more years to come.”
Patton said, NPF will not need other parties for government formation after the next election as “we will have our own absolute majority.” Also expounding on the positive leadership qualities of the present chief minister, Patton said Neiphiu Rio would be the chief minister of Nagaland again.
Patton was addressing well-attended public meetings at Yanthamo, Okhyeyan, Longsachung and Niroyo villages under 37 Tyui A/C under Wokha district as part of his two-day official tour to Nyiro range.
Patton further gave assurances and commitments towards various developmental activities in the four villages.
Earlier, Patton inaugurated the village gate at Niroyo village and the medical officer quarter at Yanthamo village.
At Yanthamo and Niroyo villages, many prominent villagers also declared their support to Patton for the next general elections.
NPF senior vice president Pusazo, NPF Life-Member Cell chairman Pinyimthung Patton and NPF Wokha division president A.Y. Odyuo also attended the meeting.
Dignitaries who accompanied the parliamentary secretary during the tour included SDO (C) Wokha Albert Ezung, CMO and deputy CMO Wokha Dr. N.M. Kithan and Dr. W.N. Ezung, Wokha district malaria officer Dr. Zuben Kikon, RNTCP DTO Dr. Robin Mozhui, PWD executive engineer Er. Thungdemo Patton, NPF Wokha division working presidents Mhonthung Patton and Khochamo Murry, NPF central youth wing secretary N. Nzanbemo Lotha, former chief agent of NCP candidate Thomas Ngullie, host of public leaders from the constituency and district as well as NPF party officials.
