‘Local products more nutritious’

ATMA Kuhuboto Block under Dimapur district conducted a demonstration programme on fruit preservation on February 17 with Neisetuono, HEA as the resource person.

Neisetuono mentioned that locally produced products are more nutritious than ready made ones and was also good for health.  She further encouraged farmers that instead of wasting extra money in purchasing ready made fruit products in the market, they should purchase necessary ingredients with fewer amounts and preserve the fruit products manually at home.  Process of preservation of various fruits such as tomato, lemon, mango etc., were demonstrated.
