Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has appealed to the executive engineer (department of power) regarding frequent load-shedding in Mokokchung town for the past few months.
MTLT in a release stated that erratic power supply was not only causing immense hardship to the people of the town but has also affected students, business community, industries, offices and hospitals etc.
MTLT said though the public have been paying their stipulated electric bills regularly, the bill however remained constant and in some case it has been enhanced in spite of the increase in load-shedding hours.
MTLT on behalf of its citizens have appealed to the authority in charge to improve power supply in the town and to take necessary measures to rectify anomalies in the interest of the people of Mokokchung at the earliest.
MTLT has further informed that if there was no improvement on power supply then it would be left with no option but to mould public opinion for further course of action.
