Youth to the Edge Nagaland Trail – I concluded on May 9 at Kisama. Speaking at the closing function C. Theyo nodal officer and state liaison officer NSS Cell, Nagaland, Kohima made a special reference to the department of tourism, department of art and culture, Kigwema Village, Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking (MMTA), Nagaland Association for Adventure, Mountaineering and Education (NAAME) for their contributions towards the successful conduct of the National Level Mega Event in the State.
The Ministry of DoNER (NEC) sponsored programme was conducted under close supervision of Col (Rtrd) HS Chauhan, President, Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) and UK Sangma, Secretary North East Council (NEC) and organised by National Service Scheme (NSS) in collaboration with Directorate of Youth Affairs and Sports, Nagaland.
The 2nd trail is expected to start in a few months time as mentioned by secretary NEC. The 10th and the last batch were from Periyar, Maniammai University of Tamil Nadu and Government Romana College, Mizoram.
