Thilixu Village Council (TVC) and Thilixu Village Youth Organization (TVYO) have condemned the firing incident on July 21 near Hornbill School Area killing one person on the spot.

A joint statement issued by chairman TVC Khevishe Achumi, secretary Kahuto Achumi, H.K. Chishi president TYC Khekuto Chophy general secretary said the other incident that took place on July 27 where a person belonging to one faction was shot dead near Thilixu Village Baptist Church, was “against the moral values of Christian beliefs and principles”.

The organizations said such kind of continuous incidents within the jurisdiction of the village has created “fear psychosis” among the public and also destroy the peaceful atmosphere of the village.

TVC and TYC reminded factions involved in the “inhuman act” that neither its village jurisdiction was a “killing ground” nor its jurisdiction would be allowed to use as “safe place for killing”.

The organizations warned that in event of any such kind of incident taking place within the jurisdiction in near future by any faction would not be tolerated and will cease to cooperate “in any means”, and  appealed to “warring factions” to shun violence for a lasting solution.
