Chief Engineer PWD (NH) says SARDP revised estimates not for 1 year

August 18, 2012 | by admin

Reacting to media reports on the controversy surrounding SARDP-NE project in Nagaland, chief engineer, PWD (NH) Friday clarified that the proposed revised estimates might be more than the current year’s annual plan size of the state but it would be wrong to conclude that the entire amount would be spent during a single year.

Pointing out that such comparisons were not appropriate, chief engineer, PWD (NH) Peter Solo in a statement said that reiterated that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had constituted a high level committee headed by the special secretary and financial adviser to the Government of India to inspect the project and give its report for further actions.

Peter Solo asserted that till the report was submitted and action taken, it would be in the best interest of all to desist from “blowing the issue out of proportion”.
