Nicole Scherzinger will keep an eye on the other judges for Simon Cowell Axed from the US version of the show six months earlier, she was the shock choice as new UK X Factor judge.
But it has been revealed that Nicole Scherzinger’s comeback is all down to Simon Cowell – who’s hired her as his spy!
He wants her to keep an eye on the other judges and give feedback on ways to improve the show.‘Nicole’s been confiding in her team that Simon wants her to be his eyes and ears,’ says an insider.
‘He’ll be asking her for the lowdown on how the judges are performing because he wants it to be the best series yet.’
Not surprisingly, Tulisa, 24, Louis Walsh, 60, and Gary Barlow, 41, think the show is great as it is, but are aware there’s always room for improvement.
‘Tulisa feels she gave the series an edge last year when Kelly Rowland didn’t live up to expectations, but it’s a different ball game now’.
‘You’re only as good as the last show,’ says our source. To make matters worse, Gary and Louis have grown close to Nicole – Louis even went partying with her recently.
And Simon, 52, has caused further tension by reportedly promising Mel B, 37, a role on next year’s series as he was impressed by her guest judge stint in June.
‘The other judges seem paranoid about which of them will be axed to make way for her,’ says an insider. Source adds the real dramas will kick off when the live shows start.
‘Tulisa’s down-to-earth and her dressing room’s open to all,’ says the insider, ‘but Nicole’s a diva.
‘At the auditions she had extra security and her dressing room was in lockdown. Clearly they won’t be best pals.’
