DC Mon calls for early restoration of Mon-Namtola road, bridge

Mon district planning and development board (DPDB) meeting was held at DC’s conference hall on September 15 with deputy commissioner and deputy chairperson, Mon DPDB, Angau I. Thou, as chairperson.

In the meeting, the DC requested departmental members to extend co-operation for early construction of Mon-Namtola road and bridges, terming it as the lifeline of Mon district.

She further cautioned all head of departments not to release payment or fund for any schemes without proper physical verification and without being countersigned by the respective jurisdiction administrative officers.

She reiterated that all officers posted in Mon district should serve judiciously and be present at their respective posting places, and submit written reports of respective departmental activities implemented by the departments to DC’s office, Mon.

The meeting concluded with a power-point presentation by chief medical officer, Mon and the nodal officer, UNDP-soil & water conservation department, Mon.

Earlier, project director, DRDA Mon, Nyangpong Konyak, NCS and EAC Mon, Nukutulu S. Venuh, NCS were introduced to the board.
