International day of peace and peace pole was celebrated at Nihoto village on September 21. United Nation (UN) International Day of Peace is an annual event held on September 21 to recognize the efforts of individuals, organizations and governments to end conflicts and promote peace in the world. Dr. Hokuto Zhimomi former NPSC chairman graced the occasion as chief guest. He said peace day can be celebrated by anyone, anywhere in a simple way by lighting a candle at noon, or just sitting in silent meditation, or by involving co-workers, organization, community or government engaged in a large event. The programme was followed by peace tree plantation by the chief guest, founder chairman and Rev. Dr. Khashito Aye at the peace centre ground.
