NSCN (K) warns against collection of tax

NSCN (K) Friday warned individual/groups against collecting any form of “tax or collection” without its knowledge following information that certain individuals were causing undue harassment to the general public, government offices and business establishments especially in Kohima and Dimapur.

In a statement, NSCN (K) ‘secretary, ministry of finance’ Akato Yeptho said that one “Tito and ‘major’ Aboka” have been collecting various forms of taxes in the name of NSCN (K).

The group has warned the two and their families of adverse actions for using the name of NSCN (K) in their “illegal activities”.

NSCN (K) ‘finance secretary’ also has cautioned government offices in Kohima not to entertain any form of taxes or collection from any individual without his knowledge.

NSCN (K) ‘finance ministry’ has also asked the general public, government offices and business establishments to contact   ‘finance secretary’ Akato Yeptho through mobile number 9402993566 for necessary actions and clarifications on finance matters.
