No IYC election before assembly polls: NPCC

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has notified District Congress Committees (DCC) that no organizational election for Indian Youth Congress (IYC) would be conducted before the ensuing state Assembly polls tentatively scheduled for March 2013.

In a statement, NPCC general secretary in charge of frontals and legal, Vaprümu Demo however said the “indispensable youth force” of the party should be immediately reorganized and re-strengthened keeping in mind the forthcoming assembly election.

DCCs have been asked to appoint “ad hoc” Youth Congress Committees at the district and block levels with immediate effect and intimate the same to Vaprümu Demo.  The tenure of the “ad hoc” committees would last till further instruction was issued, added the statement.
