YouthNet gears up to host ‘Young Leaders Connect 2’ in Kohima

Due to overwhelming response received during the first ‘Young Leaders Connect’ in the state last year (2011), YouthNet (YN) in association with government of Nagaland once again presents ‘Eclectic Young Leaders Connect 2’ on the theme ‘Connect, exchange and strengthen’ in Kohima on October 20.

Addressing media persons, Friday at Dream Café Kohima, director YN, Hekani Jakhalu said 25 speakers including 9 speakers from Nagaland will take part in the event.

She said north eastern states were so detached thereby the event aims to bring leaders together, share on programmes, business the policies that needed to be strengthened.

Jakhalu also said another issue will be focused through media in re-positioning of north eastern states as it was time to take India forward along with the support of northeastern states, adding the ‘Young Leader Connect 2’ will be documented and copies sent across the country.

She also asserted that YN aims to showcase the uniqueness of Nagaland by involving Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) and Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NB&HM).

CNN-IBN will telecast the entire session as the event is targeted to spread across the country and even international, she added.

Speakers from Nagaland include – Nagaland Archer, Olympian Chekrovolu Swuro, Abu Metha, Theja Meru, Fr. Abraham Lotha, Himato Zhimomi, Neingulie Nakhro, Akum Longchari, Bano Haralu and Hekani Jakhalu.
