Bhartiya Adarsh Samachar Press Association (BASPA) conducts surprise checking

Bhartiya Adarsh Samachar Press Association (BASPA) Mon headed by the district president conducted the 1st phase surprise checking on some of the government offices in the district.
During the course of checking, the association detected the following: Food & Civil Supplies Mon, ADS, absent from May 1 to October 12; PWD, SE (R/B) Mon, LDA absent from September 1 to October 17; EE (PHED) Mon, Treasurer, absent from October 1 to 17.
M. Hejei, Konyak. Dist- president, Bhartiya Adarsh Samachar Press Association Mon stated Asst Director Supply, of Food & Civil Supplies Mon has been absent for more than six months and due to his prolonged absence, the “public and his colleagues are struggling”
Stating that his staff have to travel all the way to Dimapur (his residence) which is approximately 280 kms from Mon town just to get his signature on their pay roll every month, the association requested the higher authorities to take up necessary action before it was too late.
