Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) Monday reiterated its allegation of a mega scam in the Social Welfare and Women Development (SW&WD) department where three allegedly bogus societies siphoned off money to the tune of over Rs. 136 crore during the past four financial years.
Responding to the denial, the NPCC in a counter-rejoinder issued by its general secretary Mghato Achumi and chairman NPCC vigilance cell R. Paphino termed the rebuttal by the SW&WD as not having any merit, considering the magnitude of the corruption.
The signatories disclosed that NPCC has already filed criminal cases with the State Vigilance Commission (SVC) on November 23, 2012.
NPCC said that the entire matter was now with the court of the State Vigilance Commission and that it expected the latter to discharge its responsibility expeditiously as per the law.
NPCC opined that if the offenders had anything to “comment or claim innocence”, they should do so as and when summoned before the SVC court.
NPCC further said it stood by its allegations against Chotisü Sazo, parliamentary secretary and his associates through its November 23 declaration.
