‘Dapfhütsumia Day’ observed

The 55th annual Dapfhütsumia Day was held on December 8 at D Khel ground, where Dr. Nicky Kire MLA graced the occasion as the chief guest. Lhouvituo Keretsü, acting chairman gave the welcome address.

Nicky exhorted the gathering and various speeches were delivered by DMK, DYO, DSU, VDB and the Dapfhütsumia Gazetted Officers Krotho (DGOK), officials.

On this occasion, Kezhalelie Keretsü and Thejaselhou Kire were felicitated for their outstanding achievement at the state level in the field of sports and academics respectively.

Some of the urgent maters were deliberated by DGOK which included rampant unregulated sale of ancestral land in the D’ Khel Jurisdiction.

In this regard DGOK adopted some resolutions for land regulation: Clearance/NOC from Tsanuo/Chienuo/Thinuo/Council mandatory otherwise treated as illegal/irregular, to ban ban land dealers, dalalis, vendors, broker.

Council shall not recognize/acknowledge in the event of any disputes, and not to be entertained in our courts.

The other more pressing issue that the Krotho observed was the issue of intermarriage between the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and local women, and the social problems arising out of such unions. 

President of DGOK presented a resolution to tackle the problems proactively.
