A one-day RCH camp was organised by district health society on December 14 at Medziphema CHC. Free family planning camp was organised to promote small family norms and also to provide free services to those opting for permanent method of family planning.
A total of 15 beneficiaries from Medziphema block availed the free services. The beneficiaries were motivated to undergo the sterilization by ASHAs of their villages and the health workers under Medziphema block.
Dr. Sukhato A. Sema, chief medical officer Dimapur, along with Dr. Temsu and Dr. Bovito of Medziphema CHC and OT staff carried out the Lap ligation operation.
The camp was a success due to the efforts and support of the senior medical officer Dr. Elizabeth and staff of CHC Medziphema. Along with sterilization camp, a total of 47 patients benefitted other general medical check-up carried out during the camp.
