“Friends of the Hill People”, B Company of the 31st Assam Rifles, Longleng station under the aegis of 7 Sector visited an orphanage home run by Phom Baptist Christian Association at its mission centre, Longleng with 200 orphan students’.
Under the command of Major Pradeep Singh, company commander, other ranks and files of company donated several items to the orphanage.
Visiting AR personnel’s also shared quality time with the students’ and encouraged them to join the Indian Army in order to serve the people and to help the poor and needy in all corners of the country.
As requested by the home, visiting AR team also assured to provide solar lamp, water sentex of maximum storage and construction of cemented water tank under Military Civic Action Project (MCAP) after recommendation from higher ups.
