Simon Cowell wants to hire Kate Moss as stylist for next year’s X Factor

There were some style successes and a whole load of fashion faux pas on the last series of The X Factor.
Clearly in need of a little expert advice when it comes to the judges’ and contestants’ fashion choices, Simon Cowell is allegedly set to hire Kate Moss as a style consultant for next year’s show.
Universally acknowledged as one of the best dressed women in the world, the British supermodel could join the show as a stylist in a bid to shake things up and attract more fashion-conscious viewers.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror, a show insider said: ‘Simon is looking at ways of refreshing the show and one idea he will bring to the table is getting Kate Moss on board.’
‘He knows how important the styling of the contestants is and having a supermodel and a world-famous name on board would certainly raise the bar,’ added the source.
While judges Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa tried to keep things interesting in the style stakes during the last series, it seems that Simon was not impressed with their sartorial choices.
The famously private supermodel, who has admitted to being a fan of TV reality and talent shows in the past, could be set to inject some of her trademark edgy style to the flagging ITV series.

‘Kate could give the contestants advice and ideas on how they want to look and also how to look after themselves and still look great in the years ahead,’ said the source.

Tulisa’s fashion choices hitting a bum note with viewers this year, and her future on the show is hanging in the balance after viewing figures plummeted during the last series.

It seems that boss Simon could be trying to make some significant changes for next year, and is due to meet with the show’s executive producer Richard Holloway when he returns from holiday.

But while no firm plans have yet been made, Simon will have to move fast if he’s going to secure Kate in time for next year, as the model is as in demand as ever.

The 38-year-old has just been announced as the face of American shoe label Stuart Weitzman, marking another new contract.
