The 47th session of Yimchunger Akheru Arehako (YAA) conference began on January 8 in Moya village. Parliamentary secretary for CAWD, T. Torechu graced the as session as chief guest on January 9.
In his speech, Torechu encouraged Yimchunger students to maintain unity for a better society and quality education for the younger generation and also to expose their talents.
He also briefed the gathering about the Yimchunger history and exhorted them to support one another so as to uplift the people and move in the right direction.
The guest of honour, parliamentary secretary for IPR and economics and statistic, R. Tohanba also called upon the students to have good and refined quality education to compete in the fast changing society and advised them to harvest more in scientific technology which could be preserved for generations.
Short speeches were also delivered by ADC Pungro, Tainiu and Yimchunger Tribal Council, President, Tsesoyung. The session would conclude on January 13.
