Twenty-four years after serving as pastor, Puduhu Khusoh, pastor of United Baptist Church, Midland, Dimapur was ordained reverend by the United Baptist Churches Association, North East India in an ordination ceremony held Sunday at UBC Midland.
Puduhu, who is also a member of Forum for Naga Reconciliation, is the first pastor from Ketsapo village under Phek district to be ordained as reverend.
Act of ordination was ministered by Rev. L. Hevuto Awomi, Executive Secretary, UBCA-NEI and assisted by Rev. Y.T. Lotha, Chairman Ordination Board for UBCA-NEI who also conducted the service and Rev. Dr. N. Khashito Aye, President, UBCA-NEI, in presence of Rev. Dr. Wati Aier, Principal OTS and Convener FNR, Rev. Dr. V. K. Nuh, Medical Minister Azo Nienu, former minister Thenucho, leaders of various churches, believers and well wishers.
The congregation prayed for the newly ordained reverend to be “humble and dutiful and powerful” in prayer to extend the Kingdom of God.
Members of UBC Midland and UBC Choto Lengri presented special numbers.
